This is a children's story of an exciting adventure where Freddie is trying desperately to keep the chocolate ice cream that Freddie loves frozen so that it doesn't melt. Freddie finds himself travelling to the North Pole and the South Pole but soon realizes that Mummy is right! The moral of the story is to enjoy and live for the moment and to try new adventures. Accepting that some things in life are bound to happen and that we cannot control the outcome of an inevitable situation, this book teaches children about loss and that nothing will last forever. Shanovia was born in LaGrange, Georgia. After high school, she attended Auburn University, where she received her BA in English. After college, she taught pre-school for two years. While teaching pre-school, she continued her education and received her M.Ed. She is currently teaching middle school language arts. Her experiences as a teacher and mother inspired her to write this book that assists young kids in learning to identify their colors as well as spell them.
